2023 Summer Camps

 
The Person County Recreation, Arts, and Parks Department will be offering registration for Basketball, Soccer and Football Camp for summer of 2023! 

We are very excited to announce our instructors for these camps. Basketball and Football camp will be taught by Carl Smith Jr. Carl is the head varsity football coach at Person High School and a former collegiate football player at Campbell University. Additionally, he brings basketball knowledge and experience through being a former player and coach at the high school level. 

 Soccer camps will be taught by Amanda Frazier (ages 4-8) and Tim Ess (ages 9-13). Amanda has many years of experience playing and coaching soccer. She is a former collegiate soccer player at Pfeiffer University. She has served as assistant coach at Averett University, head coach at Northen Middle School and head coach of many Person County Parks and Recreation teams. Tim Ess also has many years of experience loving and teaching the game of soccer. He is the current RCS High School and Middle School soccer coach.

 All of our camp instructors are knowledgeable and passionate about the sport they will be teaching your child(ren) and look forward to having them in the camps this summer! 

Camps will be broken down into the following:

 Youth Basketball Camp:

Registration: April 24th - June 7th, 2023

Fees: $45 Residents/$67.50 Non-Residents

Dates: June 12th - June 16th, 2023 

Times: 5:30pm - 6:30pm (ages 5-6), 6:45pm - 7:45 pm (ages 7-8), 8:00pm - 9:00pm (ages 9-10)

Location: Huck Sansbury Gym 

 Youth Football Camp: 

Registration: May 1st - May 26th, 2023 

Fees: $35 Residents/ $50.50 Non-Residents (Ages 5-6), $45 Residents/$67.50 Non-Residents (ages 7-10)

Dates: June 19th - June 23rd, 2023

Times: 5:30pm - 6:15pm (ages 5-6), 6:30pm - 7:30 pm (ages 7-8), 7:30pm - 8:30pm (ages 9-10)

Location: Huck Sansbury Field 

Youth Soccer Camp (ages 4-8):

Registration: May 1st - June 21st, 2023

Fees: $35 Residents/ $52.50 Non-Residents (Ages 4-6), $45 Residents/$67.50 Non-Residents (ages 7-8)

Dates: June 26th - June 30th, 2023

Times: 9:15-10:00am (age 4), 10:15-11:00am (ages 5-6), 8:00-9:00am (ages 7-8)

Location: Huck Sansbury Park 

Youth Soccer Camp (ages 9-13):

Registration: June 5th -July 17th, 2023

Fees: $50 Residents/$75 Non-Residents

Dates: July 24th - July 28th, 2023 

Times: 8:00-9:30am (ages 9-10), 9:45-11:15am (ages 11-14)

Location: Huck Sansbury Park
