The Person County Veterans Services Office is part of Person County Government and is here to assist Person County veterans and their families in all matters that pertain to veterans and Veterans Benefits. Please call 336-599-7484 to schedule an appointment.

Our mission is to assist qualified military veterans in obtaining the VA benefits they have earned through service to their country.

Our Veterans Services Officer:

• Provides on-site counseling and assistance to veterans and their dependents of their rights and entitlements under various Federal and State laws.
• Prepares necessary forms, obtains supporting documents and forwards the same to the appropriate Government entity of responsibility.
• Responds to claimant's inquiries pertaining to claims payment of benefits, lost checks, and applications for disability, pension, medical care, education, home loan guaranty, death, and burial benefits.
• Reviews VA decisions as they apply to claims.
• Provides assistance to claimants in filing appeals.
