This office also issues marriage licenses, administers Notary oaths, retains military discharges, cemetery records, grave removals, plats, genealogy information, as well as other useful information.

Person County was formed in 1792 from Caswell County. This includes land records as well as marriage records. Prior to the formation of Person County, records can be found at the Caswell County Register of Deeds Office, (336) 694-4193.
