Person County welcomes you! Our County is located in north-central North Carolina in the Piedmont region. You will find beautiful rolling hills divided by farmlands and forest. Throughout the county you will find many parks, and the northern part of Person County boasts two recreational lakes, Hyco and Mayo. The county is divided into nine townships with the county seat being the City of Roxboro. According to the 2010 census, our population has grown to 39,464. Person County is also home to Piedmont Community College which also has a branch in neighboring Caswell County. In the southern part of Person County, you will find the Person County Airport.
