About the Kirby:

The Kirby Cultural Arts Complex is supported by a partnership between Person County Government, Piedmont Community College and the Person County Arts Council. Housed in the KCAC is a performing arts theater, two art galleries, classrooms, rental spaces and the PCC Kirby Learning Studios.

Located on Main Street in Historic Uptown Roxboro, the KCAC's theater has large scale seating and a grand interior featuring tremendous hand painted murals. Patrons are visually dazzled even before the show begins!

Once a thriving movie palace, the Kirby is the main location for a large portion of arts programming hosting such names as Branford Marsalis, The Count Basie Orchestra and many more.

The Kirby and Upper Galleries are the Person County sponsored art galleries located in Historic Uptown Roxboro, NC. Each month we feature new exhibits of local and/or regional artists of all disciplines.

The PCC Kirby Learning Studios houses several of Piedmont Community College's AFA program classes.
