Sideline Bluegrass
A six-piece powerhouse whose style has set the pace in Bluegrass for over two decades. Founders Steve Dilling, Skip Cherryholmes and Jason Moore can all claim their own historical significance to the genre as members of highly awarded groups, multiple Grand Ole Opry appearances and years of national and international touring. Joined by talents of Bailey Coe: guitar, Troy Boone: mandolin and Daniel Greeson: fiddle. Pulse-pounding drive, songs sung from the heart, perfected timing and dynamics as well as a visceral emotion in the rending.

Based on Tim Tyson’s award winning memoir, this show is meant to acknowledge America’s painful racial history, “that our freedom and dignity, if we still have any, has been paid for in blood, that we have a contract with our ancestors not to let their sacrifices be in vain.”

Transit Vocal Band
Transit is four singers, that’s it. Their only instruments are their natural born voices. Everything you hear from the stage and on their studio recordings begins with the human voice. Utilizing the latest technology, they combine their vocal talents with stage and studio effects to bring their music to life and put on a show that those who have never seen a vocal band will hardly believe. Their love for a cappella is second only to their love for music.

Christmas Belles
Directed by Eddy Daniel. Christmas in Fayro, Texas: Frankie is overdue with her second set of twins, Twink is in jail, and Honey Raye is trying to keep the church Christmas program from spiraling into chaos while Santa passes a kidney stone and the whole cast battles food poisoning. But the feuding Futrelle sisters find a way to pull together to bring Joy to your World!

Nunsense
Directed by Ray Pearce. Come see this hilarious talent show staged by five survivors at the Little Sisters of Hoboken nunnery, the rest of the sisterhood having succumbed to botulism after eating cream soup prepared by Sister Julia, Child of God. The sisters parade their talents at a variety show staged to raise funds so that the last four of the dearly departed can be buried. The score pulses with merriment and an unabashed desire to make you laugh, with songs and spontaneous comic interludes.
Audition Dates: December 17 & 18, 2018 at 7pm
Show Dates: February 15 & 16, 2019 at 7:30pm and February 17, 2019 at 6:30pm. Dinner before show- $15. Dinner at 6:15pm on Friday/Saturday and 5:15pm on Sunday.
North Carolina Central University Big Band
Under the direction of Jazz Studies Program Director Ira Wiggins, Ph.D., the NCCU Big Band Jazz Ensemble has earned high accolades at numerous American and international festivals. The ensemble also has performed at the White House on multiple occasions. Branford Marsalis and Joey Calderazzo have been artists-in-residence since 2005.

Heehaw - A County Faith Community
Directed by Eddy Daniel. Back by popular demand! This year’s HEE HAW is full of the same zany characters and corny country jokes as the first two, with an added focus on the strong community of faith here in Person County. Come join the fun with the whole HEE HAW gang as they romp through Person County’s country life with lots of gospel songs and church jokes thrown in. And don’t be surprised if the Kirby just plain busts out in revival during the show!
