Environmental Health is a division of the Person County Health Department and is responsible for providing services that protect and promote public health. Our program responsibilities include food and lodging inspections, the design and inspection of onsite wastewater disposal systems, the inspection and monitoring of private water supplies, and the investigation of environmental health complaints.

You may request Environmental Health services by submitting an application to our office, or by using the Citizen Self-Service Link Below.  The self-service portal allows you to create an account, apply for services online, pay fees and track the progress of your application.  With either option, an invoice will be mailed or emailed to you once the application is reviewed and accepted as complete.  To use the self-service portal, select ‘Apply’ and enter ‘Environmental Health’ in the search bar.  This will display all environmental health application options.

Please note: There will be a 3.25% service charge for all credit card payments.
