Person County Animal Services is an animal shelter committed to providing housing, love, and new homes for strays and owner surrenders in Person County.

We also provide:

• Rabies Vaccinations
• Self-Service Bathing (proof of current Rabies vaccine required)
• Owner Request Euthanasia (available for Person County Residents and by appointment ONLY. Proof of ownership is REQUIRED by state law.)
• Quarantine Services for Rabies Exposure & Bites (Visitation for pets under quarantine is by appointment ONLY and limited to ten minutes, supervised by shelter staff.

 Animal-related complaints are dispatched by shelter staff. Once dispatched, all requests for updates or additional information for county complaints must be requested from the on-duty Deputy with Person County Sheriff Department by calling 336-597-0500. 

For after hour emergencies ONLY, call 9-1-1.
