Each year the Person SWCD sponsors students to attend a week-long Resource Conservation Workshop (RCW) held at NC State University.  This educational workshop is designed to provide students learning opportunities about natural resources and their management in today’s environment.  Additional awards and scholarships can be won through various awards program competitions.  The goal of this workshop is to help students in understanding conservation practices and how important they are to the future of agriculture and our environment.  Applications are available through local FFA advisors, teachers, guidance counselors and at the Person SWCD office.
