Person SWCD has a Truax FlexII-88 No-Till Grass Drill available for rent.  This drill is designed to plant grasses and legumes on a variety of site conditions.  Other features are:

• Double disc furrow openers and depth bands to optimize seed placement and seed to soil contact. 
• Multiple seed boxes give you the flexibility to seed native fluffy seeds, cool season species, small grains, legumes, and wildflowers.
• Planting can be accomplished as no-till and interseeding in most conditions, as well as on a prepared seedbed, to conventional seed beds.
• Planting width is 5.3 ft.
• A 40 hp tractor is needed.

The rental fee is a charge of $10 per acre with a $50 minimum.  If you are interested in renting please call our office in advance to schedule an appointment.  An operator agreement will need to be signed before each use.
