Innovations is a service to support people with developmental disabilities who require more intensive support to assist them with vocational and community activities.  Innovations is a Medicaid funded program designed to help individuals function as independently as possible within their communities.  Person Industries staff work with consumers one-on-one or in small groups to provide assistance as each participant works on their own personal goals.

In the Innovations program, individuals work on prevocational skills such as attention to task, communication, motor skills, and safety skills.  Staff also provide coaching and counseling to develop coping techniques, healthy interpersonal relationships, community safety awareness, opportunities for leisure exploration, and self-care skills.  Innovations services take place in the community and at Person Industries.  Each individual in this program is assigned a care coordinator through Cardinal Innovations Healthcare to provide information, monitor services, and coordinate an array of services in their community to most benefit the consumer’s goals.
