The Roxboro Planning Board is a citizen volunteer board appointed by the Roxboro City Council, whom reviews rezoning requests, text amendments to the City's land use ordinances, and consideration of large development plans. Meetings are traditionally held on the first Monday of the month, unless otherwise posted/advertised.

The Quasi-Judicial Board of Adjustment (also a volunteer board) who review variance requests and appeals, ONLY meet when necessary. Tentative meeting dates include: 1/25, 2/22, 3/28, 4/25, 5/23, 6/27, 7/25, 8/22, 9/26, 10/24, 11/21, 12/19.
